The Gathering of the Gunfighters

Built by prisoners in 1876, The Arizona Territorial Prison housed 3,069 inmates which included 29 women who lived within these cells during its 33 years of operation. As new cells were needed these too were built by prisoners. There is so much of interest here. Even if you are not interested in buildings, the museum and tour makes this a must see place. Ask some one who has been here.
