| "Preserved in history", "A step back in time" are
some of the references made to the "City of Dreams" Port
Townsend. One of the first towns in Washington to look to the future and
preserve its past, the result is evident. Restored
Victorian style 19th century homes and commercial buildings are
numerous. Beautiful Bed and Breakfast establishments and restored
mansions dot the area. Wonderful little shops to satisfy your needs. On a clear day the view of the white capped Cascades
is breathtaking.
You can also see Mt. Rainier and Leave your RV parked and experience the thrill of a wildlife sightseeing and whale watch tour or travel the San Juan Islands via one of Capt. Pete's boats. Tours run from May 24 to August 31st
Listen to The Port Townsend Community Band performing at the Chetzemoka Park on the third Sundays through the months of June July and August. Arrive a little before 3 PM All your medical, healthcare and minor emergencies can be taken care of by Madrona Hill Urgent Care while you are visiting. If you can, plan your visit between April and June to see all the
colorful Rhododendrons at the Centennial Rhododendron Garden. If it's
history you want there are churches, houses, mansions and commercial
buildings from the early 1800's When in Historic Port Townsend look into water front properties for sale. Stop at the Transit Building if you are a senior and you can get a "Regional Reduced Fare Permit" that allows you to take bus rides for 25 cents.
