Pahrump Valley
Speedway

Racing has changed over the
years past with different and better running cars. Even the drivers have
changed. They are younger, smarter and safety conscious. Careful when
you say "Look at him go", you may be pointing to a female
driver. They are qualifying in large numbers lately.
To those who have not
attended the car races yet, names like Stocks, Mini stock, Pro Stock,
Dwarf and Midgets are some of the classes of cars that race in Pahrump and are
registered with the IMCA (International Motor Car Association)
Who can explain the thrill
of a race, any race. In motor car racing all your senses are affected,
the roar of the engines, the starting flag, the sight of the racing cars
in competition with one another, your heart beats faster, your nerves
are excited, a car starts smoking and you can smell something burning.
Is it the engine or is it the transmission? Suddenly another car in 6th
place is making a try for first place. Will he make it? |
