Pahrump, Nevada Area

Pahrump, located in the Southwest corner of Nye County, Nevada, derived its name from the Indians. It is generally accepted that The Southern Paiute Indians named the area Pah Rimpi which later became Pahrump. Pah Rimpi stands for springs or water flowing from rocks. It is only 60 miles to Las Vegas over the Blue Diamond Highway. From Pahrump we like to take the Blue Diamond Highway (Rt.#160) part of the way then run through the scenic Red Rock Canyon and keep an eye out for the wild burros. You are in Vegas before you know it.

The area abounds with natural wonders and scenic beauty. We have tried to prepare for you some of the many activities that occur throughout the year.
